Feb 25th 2023: We will be participating in a "Fun-Raiser" at the Queen's Hometown Pub in Barrie On in support of "Barrie Families Unite". The "Fred Grant Squares" have asked us to participate and we are very excited to be a part of this great cause. Come on out and join us from 3pm - 7pm.
Everything You Need to Know About Our Band
Karen and Heather met randomly one-night several years ago at an open mic. And Karen was playing the folk scene, and Heather was the bassist for a Neil Young tribute artist. They hit it off immediately and started playing together at small intimate venues in the Barrie area and private functions. When they added a few blues tunes to their repertoire, there was no question that they would pursue that genre.
Along came Jesse, a great blues guitarist, and vocalist who shared their vision. John’s skill and experience as a seasoned drummer helped solidify the Mad Hatterz Band's cohesive group.
2022 Update: We would like to announce the addition of Robin Partland to our MHB Family! He has been sitting at the kit for several months now and it has been such a seamless change that it seems he's been with us forever. His music career has spanned over 40 years, being one of the "Partland Brothers" and a member of Smokey Monaghan's. When John Savage decided to retire from drumming to pursue his songwriting we asked Robin to sit in and the rest (as they say) is history!
About the Music
We like to have fun with music and aim to provide lively and enjoyable entertainment for our listeners. Our band covers such artists as The Beatles, The Band, Bob Seger, Blue Rodeo, CCR, Eric Clapton, Albert King, SRV, Alabama Shakes, and Tom Petty.
